When a trailer or caravan is hooked to the back of a vehicle the immediate effect is to add extra weight to the rear of your vehicle at the most extreme position, the tow-bar. The typical result is for the centre of gravity to shift beyond the back axle resulting in weight being transferred away from the front wheels and thereby lifting the front suspension.

The shift of weight to the rear gives the driver less steering control (the rear end tends to sway) making the vehicle harder to control. Aussie SuperSprings® counteract this dangerous tendency by compensating for load demand increase at the rear. By transferring the weight from the narrow to the wide part of the tapered blade the vehicle will generally maintain a level attitude whilst at the same time maintaining adequate pressure on the front wheels to ensure adequate steering control.
